Certified Personal Fitness Trainer

The personal trainer will report to the owner and/or Head Coach.

Job Overview

The Fitness Trainer is a highly professional, personable and courteous individual who consistently delivers first-rate service and fosters positive customer satisfaction and loyalty while promoting Beyond Fitness Mission, Vision and Values. The Fitness trainer must be reliable, friendly, and have a positive demeanor.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Evaluate individuals' abilities, needs, and physical conditions, and develop/program suitable training programs to meet any special requirements and fitness goals.

  • Observe participants and inform them of corrective measures necessary for skill improvement.

  • Instruct participants in maintaining exertion levels to maximize benefits from exercise routines.

  • Monitor participants' progress and adapt programs as needed.

  • Teach proper breathing techniques used during physical exertion.

  • Provide encouragement and reinforce healthy lifestyle choices.

  • Provide tips and techniques for achieving fitness and wellness goals.

  • Administer emergency first aid if necessary or refer injured persons to physicians.

  • Manage schedule to accommodate client appointments.

  • Keep the studio clean, safe and organized.

  • Participate in social media efforts to promote Beyond Fitness

  • Attend and participate in team meetings

Qualifications

  • Current nationally recognized Personal Training certification

  • CPR/AED certification

  • Insurance coverage

  • 2+ years of previous Personal Training experience (preferred)

  • Communicate well

  • Possess empathy, honesty and personal integrity

  • Possess passion, ambition, drive, and knowledge regarding the fitness industry

  • Excel in time management, organizational and follow-up skills

  • Reliable, professional, computer literate, energetic, and friendly

Essential Physical Requirements

Able to perform all essential physical aspects of the position which may include standing for long periods of time, sitting, running, walking, jumping, squatting, bending, and reaching. As well as pushing, pulling and lifting up to 50 lbs at a time. Ability to demonstrate exercises as needed.

Compensation

$28-$38 Per Hour
